New 9-Hole Par 3 Construction

General Information

The Mac Nine at Rush Creek is a nine hole par three course. The course was designed to compliment the existing 18-hole course at Rush Creek and to allow for the expansion of Rush Creek’s junior program which in 2018 had over 1,100 kids participate. The Mac Nine has become popular with juniors, families and avid golfers.

One unique feature of the Mac Nine is that the course was constructed with teeing areas rather than actual tees so that golfers can play from a variety of lies and locations. This also minimizes mowing time and on-going maintenance costs.

Responsibilities

Herfort Norby was responsible for all aspects of the project including preparation of detailed plans, wetland permitting, competitive bidding, contractor selection and construction administration.
