I have been fortunate over the past 35 years to have worked with some wonderful people on some wonderful projects throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. People ask me when I’m going to retire and my typical response is “why would I ever retire”. I enjoy the people and I love the travel and the game of golf. I will consider any project in any location provided the owners are sincere in their intent to make the course the very best it can be.  My goal on every project is to build the best golf holes we can while making the course fun and having fun doing it.

Five years ago I would have said that most of my projects involve master planning and the renovation of existing golf courses. However, in the last couple of years I’ve seen an increase in new courses. I’ll be starting construction this year on new courses in North Dakota, Texas and the Dominican Republic. I’m also seeing an increase in the number of projects that involve the creation of new amenities like par 3 loops, short-game practice facilities and driving ranges to aid in attracting new members and introduce youth and non-golfers to the game.

We don’t simply create drawings, we study the site or existing golf course and strive to understand the changes that will make the golf operation successful and financially sustainable in the local golf market.  We immerse ourselves in the details and, through a process of member engagement and detailed design, we provide a vision for the long term success of the facility.
